Light ingress - ND Filter

Finally gotten around to using an ND filter and been having bit of play. The one I have is a Coking Nuance 10s. The pic below is shot on Sigma 10-20 with a wide angle holder. The filter comes with a foam seal that is supposed to stop light ingress but as you can see - it doesn't. And I can't see how it would as there is a gap between the seal and the filter even on the wide angle holder.

I can of course crop it but would rather have the option of retaining the full wide angle effect.

Any pointers...or are we looking at a screw in?

I use a ring of blu tak to stick the filter on.
Works a treat.
