How in the heck does one copy BBCode (or at least the img code for use in forums) from the iPhone app for Flickr?

Been looking at this fking thing for ages!

That can’t be right? You can’t get a URL to embed your image using the app? Isn’t the social side of Flickr one of the big things about it?!

I don't know iPhones but on android i just hold down over the text for a few seconds and it gives me the option to copy, same again to paste.

Just had a look and doesn't seem to do it?

On my iPhone (6S), if you click on a photo there is a little sideways pointing arrow below it which gives options to share with other social media or copy the URL. I have the standard Flickr app.

This doesn't seem to be able to produce a URL that can be used in a forum...unless I'm very much mistaken?

Well - on the web screen you can get the BBCode as we know - eg (with brackets removed so it doesn't format)

url=https://flic.kr/p/21PL87f]img]https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4592/38609176694_88de42a7ee_k.jpg[/img][/url]
url=https://flic.kr/p/21PL87f]St Andrews Castle[/url] by url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/mikealexandersmith/]Mike Smith[/url], on Flickr

but on the app all you get is the link as follows

https://flic.kr/p/21PL87f

which does link to the screen on Flickr but without the preview you get with the BBCode... a bit rubbish tbh

Best option is to save the pic to your phone and then in PH reply to topic and use the 'Upload an Image (beta)' option - reckon that should work.

Exactly what I have been finding. And on my iPhone even if I log into the Flickr website (as opposed to app), I can't see the BBCode sharing option there either!!

2 issues with the Upload an Image option:

1. I have seen it said on here many times that the Photobucket upload compresses and reduces the quality - not ideal if you're trying to post on a photography thread

2. The 2MB limit is easily surpassed even with an iPhone X image...let alone from my DSLR

I guess it's one of those things that should be so bloody simple to do (given all the code is there for the full website), however someone either has forgotten about it/not thought about it or they are specifically trying to stop people using the app for that purpose (no idea why)

Yep - all a bit rubbish. I suspect simple incompetence rather than any cunning scheme but rather unsatisfactory either way...

Doesn't work on android either, you have to go to the website on Chrome and request desktop site to get it. Rubbish!

I don't use chrome on the iPhone. Can't even see the 'Request Desktop Version' link through Safari?

I use this now http://tools.rackonly.com I know you've still gotta use the app and something else but seems to work loads better than the desktop site on my phone (Android)
Copy the link from your Flickr app and paste it on that site which gives you the bbcode tested with image below guess you can delete Generated from..... If you wanted
