Mine was a d3100 I guess around 2011, then a d7000 and a Fuji xf1.
Then the Nikon gear went and an olympus e-m10 came.
Then that went and an e-m1 came.
The Fuji died so a Sony rx100 mk2 came.
Then a Fuji x30 came and went, followed by a x100t.
The x100t was sold to make way for a d500
So I now have a d500, e-m1 and the rx100
If we talk about which I preferred, probably one of the Fujis. I had low expectations of the xf1 due to its cost and sensor size but it was fun. No doubt the x100T is awesome, wonderful files too. Love the Sony detail, hate the camera - too small and fiddly but wifey likes it.

Ha! You'll be back (davidy aka Mr Perceptive (TP))I've just rebought an example of my first camera, this one was unused and cost me the same as it did originally when I bought one from Comet in the early 80's - obviously Damian it's a Fuji!!!
But too continue Damian's list:-
Fujica STX-1N -> Canon EOS1000F -> Fuji MX2900 (still have) -> Canon 350D -> Canon 40D -> Fuji X100 (still have) ->
Fuji X-E1 -> Fuji X-E2 -> Canon 6D -> Fuji X-T1 -> Fuji X-T2 plus assorted others along the way. Still have the following Fuji's X100, X-A2, X100F, X-T2
Pentax ME super for me, as my first 35mm DSLR. I still have it ( around 35 plus years ago) and the metering system leds or whatever that’s are still work on original battery (I’m assuming there’s a battery in there somewhere) .
I put it down years ago, and got back into photography around 5 years ago with a Nikon D5100. Bought a 50mm 1.8mm ( struggling to use this lens in a way that gives really crisp images, I’m wondering if I have a bad copy) and an 18-140 which is my walkabout GP lens.
I really fancy a D750 next, that’s the plan anyway!

My first was a Canonette Junior which my Dad bought me used, and which was far from reliable with quite a few films coming back with evidence of light leaks, and ultimately it stopped working at all.

I then saved up pocket money for over a year and bought myself a Praktica MTL-3 after reading lots of reviews. My dad had a Zenit-E I think at the time. I really enjoyed using the Praktica, and it certainly taught me all about ISO, shutter speed and apertures.

A few years later (although still at school), I had saved up enough to get the recently released Minolta 7000:

I eventually lost this as it was stolen when our flat was burgled, so ended up replacing it with the simply brilliant Minolta 9xi.
A 35mm film camera with built in 4.5fps motor drive, 1/12,000 sec shutter speed, 1/300 second flash sync speed, and 14 zone metering system. I eventually ended up with 2 x 9xi bodies.

I then waited what seemed like an age for Minolta to release a digital body - quite some time after Canon and Nikon had done so, but eventually ended up with a Minolta Dynax 7D body to go with the Minolta lenses for the 9xi.

From that day, I never shot another frame on 35mm film, switched completely to digital.
Eventually I became less than impressed with the available lenses for the Minolta system - particularly the availability of used lenses, and traded in the whole lot and switched to Canon, going for the 40D at the time:

I've stuck with Canon since then, and have added a 5D, which was a great bargain at around 40% off list price with the 24-105 f4L in a manager's special from Jessops:

... and most recently a 5D Mk 3 (from HDEW):

Current lenses to go with the Canons are:
Samyang 14mm f2.8
Canon 50mm f1.8
Canon 24-105mm f4 L
Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 + 1.4x converter
When not wanting to carry around a DSLR, I picked up an EOS-M mark 1 just over 3 years ago when they were going for under £250 with the 18-55mm lens and mini speedlight flashgun.

My first was a Nikon FM. A really top notch camera at the time. I fell out of love with photography for many years but over the past 5 my interest has been rekindled. I now own 5 all Canon. 7D2, 6D,700D, G16 and last week added the M5 to my collection. The latter has made me upgrade from LR5 to LR CC as it didn’t recognise the RAW format of the M5. Still it’s cheaper than owning a racing car. Now that was bloody expensive.

I'm still using photoshop cs6 I think, but convert all my raw files to digital negative (adobe .dng) format, so they are all in the same format regardless of which camera body they were taken with.Adobe update the free dng converter software with the latest raw formats, and the .dng format doesn't change so it should mean not having to update the processing software unless there are some killer features on later versions that justify an upgrade.
For now, I'll stick with CS6 rather than be forced to move to the subscription models.
Boots Beirette that I bought in Kendal sometime in the 70's.
Then I went to a Minolta X300, followed by an X700, then a Dynax 7000i, then a Dynax 7xi (both of which I still; have). First digital was a Fuji Finepix 2800Z, followed by a Sony A100 (which I also still have) and then the SLT-A58 I have now.

Probably used some disposables when I was very young, the first camera I remember was my parents 50mm Werra which was still used in the early 90s (bought in '67, we still have it), but the first 'proper' camera I had myself was an APS compact, Kodak Advantix C450.
Used to have a lot of fun with that thing when I was 13-14, before I lost it. Always liked opening up those APS boxes when the pictures came back.
Got my first digital after that in 2002, and a Minolta X300 to use for Photography club at school. I had a Canon S6 bridge after that, moved to mirrorless with a Lumix G3 in 2012, then my current Lumix GM5 in 2015.
