Watermarks in Lightroom

I've been playing with adding watermarks to my images using Lightroom 6 lately. It seems that the tools here are a bit limited, unless I'm missing a trick?
The problem is, I can only see how to add the watermark at export time and there's no preview. Sometimes I want the watermark in one of the corners or at the mid top/bottom/left or right positions so I have eight watermarks in the application all using the same graphic and other settings to select at export. The problem is that if I export, say, ten photos I may not want the watermark in the same location on all of the shots, depending on the composition. I haven't found a way to add it in the develop module or to preview at export time so the only way to see what it looks like is to export the shot, look at the output file then redo the export and select a different version with the changed watermark position.
Am I missing some trick in Lightroom? Alternatively, is there some sort of plugin, external editor or a tool that registers in Lr as an export target that I can use to do this better?

I'd suggest the best approach to save time is to batch the photos according to the position of the watermark - so all those where you want it bottom right, for example. Then export those together.
Thanks, yeah I feared as much. Even a preview would be nice because sometimes the watermark doesn't look right where I think it will and I end up doing the export again. You're right, but only for the currently selected photo. I generally export in batches once I've done all my processing, I was hoping to be able to either select the watermark position between processing and exporting.This will bring up a Watermarking Editor which will have a preview box.
