Hi all,

I'm a bit of a lurker in these parts, but I'm calling out to the collective wisdom of this forum as I have an annoying problem with Lightroom that I can't solve. I accept that it quite possibly a very simple thing that I am doing (or not doing), but it is frustrating the hell out of me.

Quite simply I have recently purchased a new PC and downloaded LR via Adobe Creative Cloud as SWMBO has an account with them. I can import photos into the library, but when I click on the develop tab all I get is a red screen. Like this...

This is all the problem is, so if anyone can point me in the direction of what I need to do I would be most grateful.

Thanks in advance

Try going into Preferences > Performance tab and untick Use Graphics Processor, then restart LR.

Apparently a blue screen with white X usually indicates a GPU issue, was struggling to find anything about red/pink, but I did find a thread on the Adobe forum the above was marked as fixing. Not sure what to suggest if it's already unticked.

That generally, the colour used to indicate a mask. Worth checking to see if any of the masking tools have defaulted to cover the entire image.

Thanks for this mizx, sorry for the slow reply, but this seems to have solved the problem. I had searched high and low for an answer, but I didn't turn up any solutions. I won't be able to get on for a few more days, but hopefully this won't happen again.

Cheers
