Forecast looks like it could happen I think for you. Always a crap shoot ultimately

I'm happy to travel - I think I might take a risk and head for Penmon Point in Anglesey - its a 3-hour drive, but it could be worth it.

I'm at work in the morning though, so it might be a bit bleary-eyed

EDIT - maybe not - weather is a complete lottery tonight - don't want to travel 3 hours to be faced with cloud

Cloudy here tonight according to phone forecast. Any sites give accurate cloud cover forecasting?

I find forecasts are hit and miss when I am stargazing. They are just a forecast.

Prefer this to see what is coming in the short future ahead. Run the animation and you get the gist of the direction and what may be coming.

And after the Irma thread, I found this for further out, need to know which way the wind is.

Probably use the Met office as well for a longer look see, oh, and cross fingers and are the cows laying down...... wink

I have got the scope out when it is crystal clear, no forecast for clouds and in a short time cannot see the moon.
