Simple logo editing help please(?)
Discussion
Hi guys, I need someone to help me with a logo and willing to send beer money your way.
I don't use photoshop or have any photo editing experience and I figured this would be the best subforum to post in.
I'm sorting out league player club shirts and I've been given a basic logo however the transparency and filling of it is wrong.
This is the logo:
This is how it looks when uploaded to the shirt makers website and applied to a shirt:
It would look much better if the logo could be modified so that:
1) Make the outlines for the arms white
2) Make the outlines for the legs white and make the legs transparent like the arms
3) Make the head complete at the top (rounded, not cut off the top)
4) The box which houses the text, make that transparent but keeping the white outline of the box
Another job, if the white background could be cut away from this red logo, that would be great.
If someone could help me, that would be fantastic. Improvements/suggestions welcomed.

In the event of no professional help appearing, I've done a few stickers/T shirts/shopping bag logos in Photoshop. Strictly amateur but I reckon I can help you out there. I looked at the image but the one I downloaded isn'tt as high a resolution as I'd normally use for a good print, do you have other copies ?
Secondly, what file format does your printer require ? The last one we used wanted the original PSD (photoshop) files but we've used other formats in the past.

harder than it looked!
transparent png file Couldnt get rid of the dark pixels around the letters without losing all the definition..
and on a shirt..
At least you can decide if you like it like that!

Far from perfect.....
As has been mentioned, you might want to ask the printers what size (pixels) file they need in order to print at the size would want.
Also, the material might determine this too, as in a rough, airtex material might take a lower res file better than a smooth shiny silky material.

I've done the red logo as a .png, how do I get it to you? PH email system doesn't provide for attachments.
You could upload to a file sharing website (Google for example) and paste the link in hereI think this is what you wanted from your original post?
I've just put it on black so you can see all of the white but otherwise, if its correct, there's no issue to make the background transparent and resize to any size required (it's all vector graphics) and save out as any format the printer needs.
Thank you all so much for all your efforts.
Chester Draws, yours was a very good effort and I really appreciate it but MysteryLemon's is very smooth and "proper" so I'll be using that one (and yes, grey border around the head which has now been done )
singlecoil, I got your email regarding the red logo, thank you for that.
If the 3 of you PM me your email address for paypal, I'll send a pint your way.
