So, the Didcot Cooling Towers are finally to be blown up.
Early hours (3am) of July 27th, which is a Sunday morning, so convenient for being able to get there.
Any thoughts on how this could be "captured"

To be fair I hadn't realised the remaining ones were coming down in Saturday. The clumps would be a great viewing spot...

One of my colleagues went to the Clumps for the initial demolition - he was surprised to find 1500-200 other people up there, mostly off their faces.

I won a competition to name an excavator at the site a few years ago when it was Coleman & Co doing the work. If you see one called Stanley, that's my boy.

Ironbridge cooling towers coming down this Friday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-shropshire-5...

A 20-minute walk gets me a great view.

Coincidentally, the Top Gear episode featuring this site is on at the moment.

I put a "video" of the Ironbridge demolition on the animated gif thread. Plenty more on the BBC and Shropshire Star sites
