Search really wasn't my friend with this one, and I'm quite surprised - I would have thought it would have been asked a few times before (I thought I may have asked it, but can't find a thread.)

Can anyone suggest a couple of spots to get some decent photo's of the motor when I'm next up there? Purely for daytime shots, I've next to no experience of lighting setups and it's only so I've got a few nice photo's of the old girl.

I'd like to think I know the area pretty well but so far I'm hitting a bit of a blank. Somewhere high up Hardknott Pass or Wrynose springs to mind, and there's always the spot on The Struggle. But other than that I'm hitting a bit of a blank. Any 'classic' spots, or ones that'll appeal to the landscape photographer in me?

I was up there a few weeks ago shooting for the Chelsea Car Club. Lots of opportunites - Honiston Pass, the Struggle are great. Here's a few of my images:

Great pics, however you've dragged me out of lurking to tell you it's 'Honister' pass, not Honiston.

Kirkstone Pass, Honister Pass and Whinlatter Pass are all good driving photogenic roads Chris. You will need to pick your moment though as they are all very busy. An early start would work. smile
