Photography Student looking for racers

Hi all!

I'm a photography student based in London and am looking for people who race cars, bikes or anything with an engine who would be willing to allow me to shoot them for my final major project. If anyone is interested and willing let me know and I can provide details and go from there.

You might be better posting in the UK club motorsport section as that is where you'll find the drivers. What's the assignment if you don't mind me asking?

I'll post there in the morning and try my luck, thanks for the suggestion. The project is my final major project for university which I have decided to base around my love of motorsport. It's open to change but I would like to get photos of man and their machines.

Not being funny but why the hell would you say something as stupid as that?? What possibly from either of our requests/offers gives the slightest hint that is what we are looking to do?

Not being funny this last week about 3/4 new members have joined up asking the same very similar question from a similar area. To be fair it wasn't really aimed at you as you posted up your website. But people just coming along not even showing what they can do all just sounds a bit fishy to me.

how about a slightly different approach. There is a new series starting this year for Porsches. http://www.dunlopproductioncup.co.uk

If you drop Chris the series coordinator a line I'm sure he'd welcome the offer, and that way you get to shoot ALL the teams.

Why not just head to Brands or the like for one of their track days...
likely you'll get exactly what you'll need i'd have thought?

Yeah I don't even have a license so nicking a car is out of the question. Your suspicions are wrong here I'm afraid.

Went to one and it was close to what I needed but I felt I was intruding on their time and it was forced as I had just turned up and asked to shoot them. The reason I'm posting here is to arrange a shoot with prior knowledge so both myself and the subjects are ready and willing. Thanks though.

"for sure"- Give Alex a call at EMC Motorsports 01213282225 They've got a workshop full of Porsche and Puma race cars at the moment.. but they're in Bham.

I'm going to Finland tomorrow but i'll give them a call for when I'm back as I'm heading home right next to Brum!
