Hey guys, what Nikon lens would you recommend for motorsport photography??

I was thinking either a 75mm - 300mm or 500mm.
Any thoughts?

Okay, so the nikkor 75-300 is about £350, and the nikkor 500 is about £4,500. And you need us to decide which one you should buy? wink

If you don't already have a suitable lens I wouldn't bother to buy one.

There are usually so many people with the "right kit" at most motor sport events that you should be able to find someone to chat to with a view to borrowing a lens for a few minutes. Many of them will be lonely people grateful for a few minutes of conversation. Just work your way around the venue with that in mind and you should be able to complete a day without having to invest in anything more than a suitable camera body. In fact if you get it right you might ony need a handy selection of memory cards and something that looks like a "Professional" camera bag. Chances are you could blag the use of bodies too.
