http://www.theverge.com/2013/3/26/4147764/google-d...

Never used them myself but thought you lot might want to know smile

They have demos to download too.

That's quite a drop! I wonder what their (Google) strategy is with this now.

I looked it up on the Interwebworldnetwide thingy and there's more!

The Might Google Itself said:
"Those who purchased one or more Nik plugins in the past will get the full Nik Collection for free. Nik will email upgrade instructions in the coming days."
via a link to....
PC Rag
...and how much cheaper it might become struck me.

I'm also not a Nik software fan/user although it is something I have looked at (and dismissed ......oooo, several times a decade.......)

(Although I remind myself that I no longer buy things like newspapers when they start becoming "free" on the simple premise that the product is worth precisely what you pay for it!)

Wow....I have toyed with buying their Dfine product have used it for a trial period...I think it was £70 to buy on it's own. It's very, very tempting at nigh on £100 for the whole package. Dfine is superb.....think the rest of the package is supposed to be very good too.

The Silver Efex Pro B&W plugin is excellent as is Colour Efex, at $149 for all their plugins is good value IMHO.

As something of a PP amateur still, what are the main advantages of buying this in addition to Elements? If it's worth the money and I'll use it I'd consider getting it at this price but I've only really heard of Silver Efex Pro in passing - the others I know nothing really about.

Wow!! I have the full NIK software including snapseed on Ipad and iPhone.

I cannot rate the software enough, I read an article earlier this year which read along the lines of "most people look at a pro landscape image and try to replicate it but often don't get the same result, that's because they haven't run it through colour efex"

Every image of mine goes through NIK and I now feel my images look 10 times more professional.
