Nikon D5200 - Display wont display

A pal has just bought a Nikon D5200 and she's unable to turn on the display.
The manual seems to suggest it's switched on using the (I) button but she reports this doesn't make it work.

Any ideas ?

Try pulling the live view lever which is underneath the mode dial (PASM). You should hear the mirror flip up and the screen will turn on. The Info button will also do it.

It turns out that the camera was faulty and it's been replaced.
