Folks,
My 2-year old 550D is looking a bit tired.
A couple of rubber 'trim' bits hanging off and a problem with the viewfinder.
It seems very fuzzy through the viewfinder, but photos still come out find.
Basically, I'm after a recommended shop/repair place to sort these jobs and get the camera looking A1 once again.

Don't know about your camera, but I have managed to knock mine out of kilter more than once. Easy fix though!

Easily done on many cameras.
"A few rubber bits hanging off", depending on which rubber bits, may well be self fixable.
If you do feel that the camera needs the attention of an authorised dealer there is a short list on the Canon web site .... somewhere.
I think most of them (and Canon themselves) expect to work through the post/couriers these days.
I have used Lehmann (see above) and found them to be good. Close enough to me to almost make it cost effective to drive over with anything that needs looking at.
After some googling, the diopter issue is now sorted
In terms of 'rubber bits hanging off', more specifically it's the rubber around the viewfinder, the part to the right of the LCD screen and one of the side grips which have all parted company with the camera on our recent world travels.
Would it be easy enough to purchase these on Ebay and replace them myself?

Hmm. Are they unlikely to simply glue back on? You could ask Canon for an opinion. I seem to recall they had some problems with those rubberised sections discolouring on some batches of the 650D and offered a fix. Whether you can persuade them that they had a preceding problem with the 550D I could not speculate. Worth a try though.
Alternatively maybe the used camera dealers could offer some basic advice. I assume it is something they would come across from time to time.
