Canon software - Anything useful?

Morning all,
I use Elements 8 for my post processing, but was wondering whether the EOS Digital Solution Disk (sic) contains anything I would find useful over and above that?
There are, of course, two ways to find this out. One is to install it and work through it all. The other is to ask on here, as no doubt someone has already done option 1!

I use DPP for all my processing needs but that's because it's very simple to use and I don't have the patience to get to grips with any other software. The utility stuff you get is also good for tethered shooting so I use that when shooting in a studio so I can review everything straight off and adjust what I don't like in camera. This then saves me having to buy expensive processing software which takes me back to the start of what I was saying.
Canon DPP is a fairly basic program but, in the absence of anything else, I'm sure it would suffice. I also use PS elements (10)and that is certainly a lot more comprehensive.
That said, I've seen very good results from those just using DPP, no doubt more skilled than I am and able to get a better shot to start with and being less reliant on post processing.
