DSLR+Camcorder or DSLR which does video to take on Holiday..

I'm taking a month long holiday to the Middle East next month. I don't really want to take a camera and video camera if I can help it.
I have a DSLR(D80) with 18-135mm and 50mm lens, and I'm more than happy with it, but it doesn't do video. The D7000 looks like a contender, but I'm not sure how good it's going to be as a walk around videocam. The Nikon V1 is also a contender as it's smaller and lighter and seems to do great video, but image quality isn't going to be as good as it's bigger siblings.
Thoughts? Any other camera suggestions?
