which in car video system to use

getting into trackdays I am looking for a decent easy to use and upload video camera, camera itself will need to be small and not suction cup mounted, can anyone recommend something reasonably priced with hd quality?

The GoPros seem to be pretty popular and they don't have to be mounted with a suction cup. (I've not used them, but was looking in to them.)
