A little advice if you will?

I'm about to undertake a test shoot and then start a project of photographing people with cars.

I'm using no other lighting other than flash gun and ambient

What kind of advice would you give on getting the best from the shoot?

I think it would all depend on things like the location (indoors or outdoors?), amount of available light, time of the day.... etc. You may not even need a flash gun at all.

Outdoors. 99% of my stuff is locational
