Replacing 10-20mm F4-5.6 Sigma with....?

Not sure whether to do this or not.
I have the aformentioned lens, had it for a while, but it doesnt see much use as its really soft at the edges at the wide end and with a max aperture of f4 I often find it too slow for what I use it for. Whats more my Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 can cover the zoom end much better because its faster and sharper to boot.
I do quite like the look of a wide though so I definitely want to keep one in my kit.
Sigma do a 10mm anf 15mm diagnol fish eye and an 8mm circular. The 8mm looks ok on a crop body (7D) from what I have seen because it mostly fills the frame and has a really agressive wide view.
Havent seen much of the 10mm, but from reading, people regard the 15mm as much better. I think the 15mm is F2.8 and is nice and sharp. It looks to have a good fisheye effect too, but I have only seen this on full frame... I imagine on a crop it wont be so evident. Plus at 15mm I am not sure its usefully wider than the Tamron!
What other options do I have for a decent, fast wide?

All sorts really, mostly swimming stuff at the moment. Like to get right close into the blocks with the wide angle and catch the dives, turns and other things we do in surf lifesaving/speed lifesaving. Pool lighting is piss poor and f4 isnt enough unless I switch to those HI-ISO modes with lots of noise. Also use it for landscapes, but then the softness can ruin the shots...some of the ones I took off the top of table moutain look awful round the edges...like it wasnt focused properly.Friend has one (nikon fit) and loves it, built like a tank.

Need to wait a bit anyway as i'll have to go home home and find the original box for the sigma before I sell it. Gonna go have a look at example shots from the canon, but those I saw of the Tokina looked brilliant.
