Hi guys, the search facility is down again (as it seems to be 95% of the time!), so maybe a common question.
I will start by saying i'm totally clueless on this kind of stuff. Basically I want to edit (cut sections out, remove sound etc) from my go-pro footage. It is recorded in Mpeg4 format. was wondering if there is a program (preferably downloadable free) commonly used, or any tips on a simpler method of editing?

Cheers
Paul

PCs don't like that format. If you are on a Mac, no prob.

If you ARE on a PC then a prog like CONVERTERLITE (free - google it) will convert to AVI and then you can use the Windoze MovieMaker (you have it already) to edit. It's piss easy.

My Windows 7 machine copes with the output from my gopro without issue.. I just chuck it into Windows Live Movie maker and go from there (admittedly, I'd prefer a more capable editor, but don't have the hardware to support it)

You can get Sony Vegas software for next to nothing. Works a treat.
