As per thread title really. I'd like to get some proper insurance for my kit now that I've got stuff which would cost the thick end of £3k to replace, and I don't want to put it on my contents cover because, well, my wife doesn't really know how much it is all worth....

Can anyone recommend a good company from the many out there? I'm obviously not a pro so I'm just looking for accidental damage/theft cover to include out of home, in car and <30 days per year outside of the UK.

Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Strange coincidence!
I was just popping on to ask if you can get temporary cover as I'm borrowing a friends 5D II and 24-105 for a wedding.

He uses http://www.perryappletons.com/
and really rates them. If anyone knows about temporary 48 hour cover (sorry to thread hijack) it would be much appreciated.
