Uploading to Youtube

Apologies if this has been asked before, but the search facility is down at the minute.

Am I doing something wrong when trying to upload a lap of the 'Ring filmed on my Gopro, its about a 10 minute clip but is estimating 4000 minutes to complete the upload!
Any help appreciated, getting frustrated!

7 minutes of 1080p footage took me about 2 hours to upload with an upload speed of approx 800kbs

Is there any point in upolading hi-res/HD footage to YouTube? May as well crunch it to 640x480 lo-def etc.

HHHmmmm... My 10 min full 1080p vid took about 30 mins to upload...

Personally I would bother again, 720 or lower is just fine.

Maybe it's your upload speed...? Mine is pretty quick...
