Adobe lightroom trial

Hello all, just a quicky

I have a load of .DNG RAW files i need to edit, i thought it would be a good time to download the trial of lightroom 4 to view them/convert them. Annoyingly the download doesen't seem to work from the download section of the Adobe site, is there somewhere else I can get the download from? I've tried with three different browsers to no avail.

Not heard that before. I don't think there is another choice - what are you getting when you attempt to download? Any warnings or anything? Are you trying from a local version of the site, i.e. Europe/UK rather than US?

I would be inclined to fire off an email to Adobe support to see if they can get to the root of the problem.

ah, it seems the problem was impatience

It was just hanging on the "your download should start immediatly" page, but after coming back to it the download seems to have started, TBF after at least 5 minutes of waiting.

Adobe also do a free DNG converter I think.

bugger, wont install on xp anyway, what a waste of time!

Luckily i shot them in jpeg+RAW so will just pick and choose which ones to edit by viewing the jpegs.

- tog, do you know if that allows you to view them all as well, or is it just a basic convertor?

Not sure, I've never used dng at all. I know they make a converter of some description, but don't know it's capabilities. I fairly sure it's free so have a look on Adobe's site.
