Going to the dark side

Ive been planning to switch to Full Frame from my aging D200 this year. My choice had been between the D700 and D800 leaning towards the D800 because of it's higher resolution.
I mostly do landscapes with the occasional Architectural shot now and again so i've been interested in Tilt Shift lenses as I like the idea of having those movements with the practicality and lightness of a DSLR. I remember hearing good things about Canon's range of Tilt Shift lenses so decided to look up the prices of a used 5d Mark 2 and a 24mm TS-E and possibly a 17-40mm as a general walkabout lens. Quite surprised as to how much id save going this way compared to the route of Nikon PC-E's lenses and with Canon there is the opportunity to get a 17mm TS-E at a later date as well which afaik there is nothing like it for Nikon Mount.
Anyway what i'm getting at is does anyone have experience moving from Nikon and Canon and how did they find it, IQ, Ergonomics etc?
