Sony wx-5 camera question

i just bought a sony wx-5 off ebay, it comes with battery and memory card. the thing is it said the camer works fine but i cannot get anything on the screen to show.

when the battery completly runs out on a wx-5 and you turn it on, is it suppose to say something like, "change battery pack" like most canons or does it just not turn on at all?

Depends how long it has been dead. Usually it'll turn the screen off and flash the battery sign or say battery exhausted. But if the battery is completely dead then that won't happen.
