photo thumbnails... help please

My photo files used to show thumbnails of all the images, but suddenly it has stopped doing so, I now just get an icon. the only way I can see which photo is which, I have to open the. with a few thousand photos, this makes it very time consuming. Can you please tell me how I can get my thumbs back please....

Simple things first, you have actually got the window set to show thumbnails and not icons haven't you?

Simple things are the hardest to find... But yes icons not thumbnails was ticked, dont know how, but sorted now thank you... I appreciate your help...
