All You Nikon Users - Q: Screens

Since the D2X box went into storage nearly five years ago, and my senile dementia kicked in about four years ago, I can't remember.


I seem to have, inter alia, a spare focus screen. The little box it comes in doesn't tell you what type of screen it is, 'though by deduction, I have the marked screen installed, this one looks plain so I assume it's a "B" - Q1: is that likely to be right?

I got mine secondhand and will be looking to pass it on thirdhand before long. Now, were these supplied with the spare screen? - I have a hunch that it was included as "standard"; I don't see either:

a) giving it way with the body if it was not included
b) faffing around selling it separately (can't be much of a market) if I am diddling the new owner

So, Q2: part of original package or additional optional?



Oh, yes, and I've already looked on the Nikon site under "supplied" and "optional" accessories for discontinued items and am none-the-wiser....

When I got rid of ALL my old Nikon gear on ebay three years ago, a screen with box and instructions grossed about £12. Is it worth your bother especially as you can't say with confidence, exactly what it is?

Yeah - the similar conclusion was dawning...

....I see they're about $10-30 in the States brand new....
