Printer problem

I still like to knock out the occasional print for "reference" purposes, however my Epson 285 has begun to produce poor quality stuff just lately. It can best be describes as having a solarised effect. I run a CIS system and have topped up the reservoirs,done numerous head cleans and it prints the nozzle check OK. The other problem is that it will not produce a satisfactory alignment printout - which leads me to suspect this could be where the problem lies.

Anyone ant ideas before I bin it ?

Have you tried the SSC utility?

If that doesn't help, unless you have some cleaning carts/fluid ... bin it if it is out of warranty.

Not worth spending any money on a £70 printer, go buy a new one.
