GoPro HD Motorsport kit

Ive just invested in a GoPro Hero HD with the motorsport kit, mounts etc.
Saw how Evo use these things which made me buy one. Maybe Mr Harris could share experiences? :-)
Only recieved it last week and have done 1 or 2 trial runs, but as the weather has been so pants, nothing of any use yet! I want to use the camera to do some videos for the website.
So, just wondering who has one here, and if anyone can give any tips on how to get the most out of these great little cameras?
One thing i did notice on the trial run i did, in the full 1080p setting playback, was every couple of seconds, for want of a better description, it jumps. No idea why though. Maybe my laptop not coping with playback, or a problem with the camera?
Any tips very welcome!

I have also just invested in one of these, not been delivered yet though.
I have read a few people saying that it is better to sacrifice some of the resolution and run it in 720p mode instead of 1080p, as this increases the frame rate from 30fps to 60fps and makes the playback smoother. Should still be a very clear picture in 720p.
Going to have a play about with mine over the next week or so when it arrives so ill keep you updated

Excellent! Im just itching for some good sunny weather to see what it can do! You need a pretty decent computer to playback/edit 1080 video.
As mentioned I would run it in 720 at 60fps, you get more fluid motion, especially if using it on moving things like a car. I've got the HD2 for recording on the bike and I have that on 720/60fps - still looks really nice. Plus if it's for your website you'll probably be compressing it anyway
Make sure you computer is up to date with the latest codecs also. Some people just need to update there codec pack for the video to playback correctly

Had mine for over a year now and love using it.
Used it a couple of times on our Ford GT GT3 inside the headlight.

Also ran it on the rear chassis leg right next to the exhaust during the british GT 2 hour race. The camera was very very hot after the race, but didn't miss a beat or bat an eye lid.
Still waiting to sort the video.
