Nikon S9100 White Balance Issue

I've got a little problem at the moment with my Nikon S9100 and i'm sure some of you can help me. The problem is that every time i try and select the white balance from the main menu the yellow highlight skips the option. I have tried just about everything to fix this but i've had no luck. I know that white balance doesn't work together with some options such as continuous shooting and flash so i have turned these off. The camera is on auto mode, like it should, and no scene mode has been selected either. It's getting a bit frustrating now so i'm hoping some PistonHeaders might be able to help. If you've got any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Not familiar in detail with that model, but as you say some settings will override what you want to do.
Apart from the stock "RTFM" though, have you tried setting it in Manual mode? Strikes me that a camera is like a computer and you've got an option which is temporarily unavailable in the auto settings you have set up.

Just phoned Nikon Customer Support and they basically told me to do a 'Full Reset'. Fine now.Apart from the stock "RTFM" though, have you tried setting it in Manual mode?
