Point & shoot compact camera For £100.00 advice please

Just looking for a simple point & snap camera for a christmas present , roughly around £100.00 not knowing much about camera's just a little advice would be nice
i see loads of specials in the paper without really knowing if they are indeed special deals or good value , no fuji i'm afraid she hates the little fuji she currently has

Have a look at the Lumix's from Panasonic. The Canon Powershot's get decent reviews as well
