What Video Camera?

Hi all, im currently looking for a decent but not too expensive video camera i can mount on my car either the roll bars or within the grille so i can record the odd day out on a track or spirited drive around the lanes. Just wondering what everyone uses/what you would recommend, dont want to spend a fortune just something with decent enough quality to watch back on my macbook/youtube as im currently not in the position to be shelling out a fortune on anything too fancy! Oh forgot to say it needs to have some sort of feature/button to allow me to easily stop or pause the recording without having to pull over to do so....

Cheap and effective solution I found was a mobile phone mounted on the dashboard. Pretty good results (for no camera cost) driving my Caterham using a Nokia N8 which records in 720p HD.
