Whilst some are technically amazing not many made me go, "wow".

bah and the winning entry was a photoshop!

Quite surprised they allowed the photoshopped pic of Jupiter to win. Amazing image, but I was assuming it was a "real" photo.

I could make some amazing photos if I was allowed to superimpose a nice big moon onto a lovely earth based photo of the milkyway over a rainforest. Would that be better then that entry was???

Without watching the video (at work) it's very rare for an astro photo to be straight out of the camera or not fiddled with, tne images would be pretty poor if they weren't.

Even Hubble adds false coulour to its images.
