OK, I have come across quite an interesting printing method which I would be interested in getting some of my photos produced with, it is quite new I think and involves high definition printing on to aluminium, there is this company in the states that does it http://www.imagewizards.net/products/

Anyone know of a UK based company?

Thanks

You could try www.nes-solutions.co.uk/ and ask for Bill. Don't know if they do it but they're pretty progressive. They also have a giant flat-bed inkjet printer - stick something flat under it and hit 'print'.

We have a flat bed and can print onto anything up to 40mm thick.

Drop me a pm with a size and I'll send a quote back.

There are two ways of doing it: direct print onto Alu DiBond, or a standard print mounted on a DiBond backing. Personally, I prefer the second, especially if you get a C-type print mounted.

Printspace do mounted prints. They're UK-based, but can get expensive - they wanted over £400 for a 40"x50" print, IIRC.

Whitewall do both types and are much cheaper - I got my big print (mounted, not direct print) from them for a bit over £200 plus P&P. Printing is done in Germany, though, and they can have quite a long lead time.

I'll second whitewall. Great service and packaging. I didn't get the same type of print, mine was print behind glass, but the standard is very, very good.

From ordering to receiving took 10-14 days.

The result is very different from what I can tell between actual printing on to metal and normal, please take a look at the actual service offered in my original post.

Thanks to all those who replied already.

Just looked at this, it seems that they actually print on paper and mount it on Ali - so it is not the same

What is it you want?

Photo quality print onto Dibond or Aluminium to hang on your wall?

Either, we can and do print onto.

I am looking for the same service as this http://www.imagewizards.net/products/ but based in the UK, it needs to be exactly the same process and final product.

Did you both to read any of these results? At least two of them suggest that they do exactly what you want. Another even allows you to buy rolls and sheets for you to get the same effect at home.

For more of a hint try the second link.

If you are referring to me, Yes I did.

I replied earlier in the thread and didn't get a reply so I simply wanted to fully understand what the OP was after for that reason.

But thanks anyway.......
