Help what SLR?

The time has come for me to buy a grown ups camera and I am unsure what to get can some give me some advice? Budget is £500-£1,000. I Have been looking at the Cannon 600d and 60d but not sure if the 60d is worth the extra money for what I will do with it?

Hmm - tough call! I had this dilemma recently and plumped for the 60 and it is very fine indeed but on paper there's not much between them. If possible I would suggest you get a try out of each then decide

Is that budget just for the camera body, or body+lens?

60D has much better controls , better focus and better viewfinder + faster fps.

IQ is the same, but getting the image is easier on the 60D.

If you dont want a flip out LCD the 550D is almost identical to the 600D.

Thanks for your help and advice, I have bought the 600d as I feel that will be more than adequate for what I need. It came with a 18mm-55mm lens so I thought that I would go with someones advice and spend the rest on another lens. Probably 55mm-250mm. So far I have been very impressed with the pictures and the ease of use.
