any photographers in the midlands?

not after one for an event, after a teacher really, I cant really seem to find any good looking local classes and could do with starting to learn the advance functions of my DSLR, I'd say I know more than the basic and then can play around with ISO's and apertures etc but I wouldn't say I fully understand them.

I REALLY want to get into my photography a lot more now and if anyone is out there that could give a few pointers that'd be great, willing to pay as well obviously! or if anyone has any class recommendations in the west midlands (live in Lichfield) that'd be great.

Where abouts are you based in the Midlands?

Myself and a friend used to attend a weekly course based at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens on Saturdays/weekday evenings. There were beginner, intermediate and advanced courses on offer and each required you produce two assignment pieces to show the rest of the class.

There is a Lichfield Camera Club that seems quite well organised. I'm not a member yet, but I'm thinking about going to a meeting to see what its like.

He's a bit slow at replying so give him a few days but he recently mentioned that the courses would be opening up for the Autumn enrolment soon. He can give you a much better idea of what to expect and what level you should pitch yourself at. The course should be identical to those currently running if you take a look at these pages:

I've just seen some of Ken's online (Facebook) - looked a brilliant shoot and Omie is the perfect model !

I spent all weekend at the Silverstone Classic - Only 2000+ to plough through, but I'm on holiday from Thursday so they'll have to wait !

How was Film Noir ?
