Straps - what are people using?

Want a decent neck strap with quick release capability (carabina style end preferred) - want to be able to remove/reinstall dependent on lens as I have a shoulder sling type for when a heavy lens is being used.

Alternatively, anyone used a Nikon hand strap with a battery pack fitted (D200)?

Optech Pro. Got two of them and one of their tripod straps. Spot on, very comfortable and well made.

I've got the optech pro and dual harness when I want two bodies on.

The pro is very good but longer term I'm wondering about a move to spiderholster or blackrapid as keeping a 1 series and lens around your neck is a bit of a job after a long day.

i have a blackrapid rs-4 (the basic version) and its very good and comfy. not really a neck strap - more of shoulder sling strap but i cant see why you'd choose a neck strap over a shoulder one.

i also have the dual harness q-strap (which is a far cheaper imitation of the blackrapid strap). the end attachments arent quite as good but they're still good enough.

I have a Black Rapid (RS-5), and I love it. Always hated a neck strap, to the point that I often just hand-carried my cameras around, hardly ideal.

Op/tech too. No idea what model, though, it's a neoprene thing with a website printed on it - said website did a group buy of them a few years ago and I picked up a couple.

I have a Blackrapid RS DR-1 dual system. Great for lugging around a pair of 5D's with heavy lenses and it splits to allow use as a single shoulder strap too. Really good piece of kit (but obviously only worth considering if you ever need to carry 2 cameras).

I have one of the Lowe Pro ones (can't recall the model) - it's pretty decent.

I have an optech one - the best thing about it is that it has two elastic sections that give a bit of suspension - makes it much more comfortable for long term use.

Interesting, I googled that and initially thought "There's no way any strap can be worth £45" but having watched a video of how it works, I now want one.

Had Optech which is a great strap. But when you're on the go, you want something that can shoot quickly without faffing with the left/right strap getting in the way of the eyepiece... Switched to the BlackRapid RS-4/5 (I forget) and it's really great. Expensive, but it's the difference between nabbing the shot and missing it...

I have a blackrapid... good when you have two cameras - keeps one out of the way but instantly available.

Another vote for the Blackrapid - I have a RS-7 so much more comfortable than a neck strap

WOuld this be a good match for a gripped 7D with a 70-200L USM ii?

Bit worried that it might be too heavy, I think the RS-5 has a thicker strap?

sun-sniper shoulder strap here. Copes well enough with heavier body/lens combos - certainly more comfortable than the manufacturer neck strap.
