Lumix TZ18

I'm looking at getting a new camera for my next holiday, am planning on a safari. I'm not a serious photographer but would like a half decent camera to catch the sights and obviously want one with a decent zoom. Is the Lumix TZ 18 any good?

The reviews confuse me, am I likely to notice the "noise" in my pictures when I'm not used to taking fantastic pictures?

I've got a TZ6, and I love it. Chances are if you don't know what folk are talking about with noise then you're not going to notice it.

Especially as on safari the majority of the photos are likely to be getting taken in bright light. (Noise is generally more of an issue in low light).

The Cambodian on on the temple or the Bolivian bus trip?

Just realised there is a sunrise one, which is the geysers in the mountains between Bolivia and Chile.
