Lovely photos, it's a Dunnock, I think one of our most underestimated birds, sings such a beautiful song.
Ah, thanks. I thought it was a bit big to be a dunnock, but I reckon you're right.

I feel like I've not seen any of these for years, now they seem to be everywhere I go - Northern Ireland last weekend, Oxfordshire this one.

Grey Wagtail

Lots of Red Kites in Oxfordshire - the ones below were part of a group of at least 20 which were swooping on a hay field as the farmer was mowing, feasting on the macerated mice and other edible debris that was being left in the mower's wake...

One from a friend's garden just now.

Given it's size, I'm guessing it's a buzzard?

The plant pot just in front of it is either 15 or 18 inches in diameter.

Green Woodpecker in my garden.

I'm not the greatest photographer but I really am blessed with the variety of birds which appear in my garden.

I take images of cars, steam engines, railway engines, lorries and flowers. Lots of flowers. I can't get the hang of birds. But last month, while waiting for the family of squirrels to play on my fence, this collared dove decided to preen itself. I'm a frequent visitor to this thread, but virgin poster. I am pleased with my images, so much so that I refuse to compare them with those on here.

It's a shame I appear to have photographed the only cross-eyed dove I've ever seen.

Panasonic G9, f6.3 @ 1/1600, with 100-300 (200-600 in old money) lens, at 300mm. Hand-held but with the 7.5 stops of stabilisation that I'm so grateful for.

Thank you.

Once the autofocus finds the eye, it tends to hang on to it

You're not the first to say that!

Also, it seems to use the 'area rule' as per the Buccaneer!
