If you get the Litchi app, then you can get follow me function on the Mini 2
Ooh, thanks for that. Does that work well then, the app?
Have a look on youtube, lots of videos on it. You can set waypoints with it and when you press start, it flies the mission without your input etc.
Have a look for Shaun the Drone on youtube, he did a 3 video series on it but he is just one of the many doing videos on it

We take so many images, 11000+ this year to date we forget to share some of the cool ones.

This is from a project in Birmingham for the Paradise development of Chamberlain square.

Nice shots.

Are the bigger drones easy to fly? I bought a 50 quid one and as soon as it takes off it smashes itself into the nearest tree before I can get the hang of the controls, and I've tried it in some big spaces, it just seems cheap crap.

It's pretty hard to crash a decent drone. You have to try really hard and they won't let you!

(9 years of not crashing, and I'm no pilot).

ETA - £50 drones are just toys.. you need to spend some decent money to get a decent drone.

Our big ones take a lot of risk management!

But as Steve points out, better drones have better collision avoidance systems as well as vastly improved flight control systems.

Buy yourself a more recent model of DJI drone, even a second hand DJI Mini 2 will surprise you how good they are for not much money!

A fair distance from when I saw it last year!

Questions:

1.) Does anyone else spend the entire time they are flying in a state of abject terror? Or just me?
When I first flew mine I was pretty nervous, and would get the trembly thumb of fear! Plus I'd be concentrating so much on flying and landing it before crashing or running out of battery that I'd forget how to take photos. The other strange thing I found was I'd get virtual vertigo and would get nervous if it flew higher than a few metres. But that goes away once you get more practice. Now I don't even think about it, and quite happily send it out over water, up high and way further than I probably should! The DJI drones are so good you can just put the controller down and they'll sit hovering in the same place forever, and if you run low on battery or lose connection with the drone they will return home automatically.

A newly planted woods on the local park nearby, predictably it took the local scumbag chavlettes angels about 3 days to vandalise it. The local council spent hundreds of thousands getting a professional graffiti artist to paint all the underpasses near the town centre....yep....the local scumbag afterbirths youths vandalised the lot. I don't know why they bother, i really don't, the local chavs clearly don't want the place to look nice, so leave it drab and grey, they'll be happy that way rolleyes

Took a brave pill in North Wales this morning and flew over water again. I continue to be staggered by how capable the DJI Mini 3 is.....
