Is it safe to play MW2 again? (ps3)

After not removing GT5 since it came out I fancy a change. Is it safe to play MW2 again or am I going to get my stats messed around with the moment I go in a public lobby?

You won't get anything atm because the PSN is down (see GT5 thread). Last time we played MW2 (around Christmas time) it was full of people who'd but cheats on such as lightweight. Basically they'd ruined it to the point where my housemate swore to never play it again and stick to Blops.

MW2 is back to its former glory with all the hackers gone. There's normally a group of us on from about 9 onwards Ian so I'll drop you an invite if you're about.

Yeah, it appears fixed. I get the joy of completing all my challenges again thanks to the kind hackers though.

Anyone who cheats on a game becomes an instant idiot in my book.

couldn't agree more,just won the game on ebay,will be on in a few days,been many months since played,mate lent me his copy,was an excellent game.

Though saying that, I am borrowing Black Ops soon so I'll give that a go....... Assuming the PSN ever comes back on-line that is.

Black Ops is more like Battlefield than MW2 so you might like it better.

On another note Battlefield 3 looks brill but I just hope the player movements are more smoother and that EA servers don't keep messing up.
