Those folk at polyphony digital are a bunch of evil sadists.

Taken me a bloody week to get gold on Monza with a pad. Final time 2:03.661.

Now what are nurburgring and monza like......

Normally I can't be bothered to get the steering wheel out and set it all up, I'd rather just pick up the pad and have a quick game. But for that challenge I've found it almost impossible to get a clean lap in with the pad, much better with a wheel!

Getting gold on Monza with a pad is quite a feat!

Suzuka is a chuffing nightmare. Managed bronze after a few hours at 2:23 and then managed to trim off to 2:18

Need to lose another 7 seconds which seems impossible at this moment! I've watched youtube vids and cannot replicate the late braking and cornering that they achieve with racing wheels. I just seem to understeer off the track.

Is it that much easier with a wheel?

I genuinely believe that GT5 must be the hardest game ever written to obtain the Platinum trophy for. The X10 challenges seem completely impossible to me... I can't even get anywhere near bronze with Monza.

Quite demoralising really frown
