How about a PH TOCA tournament some time this week/weekend?

I know there are plenty of Xbox owners out there on Live so how about it?

Nothing formal, just a good blast one night?

Always better to be a giver than a taker so I'm led to believe!

Anyways......I have Freeserve broadband (approx. 512kb, is that enough?) in another room to my X-Box. How hard is it (and what exactly do I need) to get connected to X-Box Live? Do I need to plug the X-Box into the PC or just the modem or what?

I shall excuse my technical ignorance with my dazzling driving skills! which hopefully some of you will get to see depending on the answer/s to my previous question!

Well, for me the modem goes to a splitter.

One end goes into the ethernet card in the PC
The other goes into the xbox.

Simple, plus you can use both at the same time!

Just to add,

512k is fine.

Mine is 600k and is fine, only struggles if you are downloading something big on the PC and playing a xbox game with loads of players

Cheers bud. Hmmm.....ethernet card? My modem plugs into a USB socket, that's as much as I know. I'm not fussed about using the Box & the PC at the same time. I think I may just have to purchase a subscription to Live over the weekend though as 512-ish is enough. Then I'll have to resurrect the "what's your gamer tag" thread!
