Forza 3 online - Why does....

Why does everyone seem to put every single assist on? Pisses me off, I never use to understand how people were so quick round the track when I used my setting which were:
- no abs
- no braking help
- no tcs
- no stability
- damage on
- manual with clutch
- braking line on though! depending on track
- non tuned car but high in the class
and I was getting raped.. Was speaking to a few guys who seemed to be tearing it up.. He tells me not only do people use abs, auto but also traction, stability and everything on!
Every single race if you chose quick start seems to just be people using the x999 cars
I tried with all the assists on and its silly how fast you go round without even touching the brakes.. Just point in the rough direction
does anyone actually play properly?

Two or three good championships running on Forza at the minute if you look through a page or two on here.
Some really good close racing going on, normally with a bit of friendly banter thrown in....
Must admit - don't race online like I used to with FM2 as you just get kicked by a couple of idiots if you start winning...

Most here don't play with any assists we often have willy waving threads about it, personally I find it quicker with everything off. Sometimes I close an eye aswell.- no abs

t turned on as it doesn't feel right.Forgot to mention how at the start of the thread I end up getting rammed off half of the time! Everyone just barges
I'm probably terrible against decent players!

Gareth just add a few regulars on your friends list and just dive in even on championship nights they may let you join in a normal car to get an idea of the proper racing on here, and don't worry about your ability, some of us have been playing it since day one and are still crap!!
Will give you an idea of what real forza racing is like, also look out for my one make one night racing which is always good for a laugh.

Its something I feel I have to put on to even attempt to compete online without, unless you havent played online?

Braking assist would just cripple you in an online race so doesn't even matter. I didn't use any assists when I played Forza, not that I play anymore . . . pc is a much better platform for sim racing games.I bet you use abs and auto.

not against 99% n00bs... I put all assists on and repeatedly came second with a pug r1 class 997 again everyone else who was using 999x classYou need to race with us....most of us are in the top 1% in the world, even the people who consider themselves slow....and yes some of us use some aids, like me I use ABS (I can't brake on FM3 without it) and Braking line as I have very poor eyesight and can't see braking points with out it.

Tempted to join back in Ian? Chris had a little encouragement for you in the form of a sticker on the back of his car on Sunday night - something like this I believe...
Can I ask what kind of ratings the regulars have on FM3? Keep meaning to get involved but haven't got round to it yet. I was on 26 until I discovered virus tag and after a day of getting owned I'm down to 24. 
I only ever use the braking line really. Although i turn TC on when I'm racing R1 or X as it's far too easy to spin out by getting on the gas too early.
