You can download the demo of GTR at...
http://download.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=4999
This was initially released as a press demo, but it spread on the net like wildfire, so SinBin are now allowing its use publically. You may need to type a password in, the password is GTR_Press_Demo.
There are no other cars, just you and Spa.
Make a note of the 'Pit Lane Speed Limiter' button, or else you'll be driving around at 50mph for the entire lap

This is the one thats on the xbox aswell?
From what i have read it looks a corker...wish my pc was upto spec
I believe it is, but how the hell they are going to fit it on the X-BOX is beyond me, the controller does not have enough buttons for a start.
How do you mean? What extra controls are there?

Now a quick look comes up with:
The usual:
Steering
Throttle
Brake
Clutch
Gear up
Gear Down
Neutral
Look right
Look left
Look back
Change view
Then we have (and this is not all):
Headlights
Wipers
Traction control
Launch control
Wheel spin reduction
Anti lock
RPM (pitlane) limiter
Brake bias - front
Brake bias - rear
Pit requests (3 buttons on PC)
Menu select and options - 5 buttons
Now a good number of these could be combined for the X-BOX version or may be pre-race set up only.
My main conceern would be how they are going to get the physics model on the X-BOX, which is a powerful piece of kit, but its going to push it to say the least, particularly if they want a good size grid.
Wow. This really pushes the boat out.
Get the Lister out for a play and crack the throttle wide open. You cannot fail to be impressed. Physics are superb even though I'm stuck with kb and mouse, cars going fast look and feel like they're going fast. I actually braced myself against the chair braking down hard for the S band before the start/finish.

Well I must say I'm greatly disappointed!
For a game which is billed brilliant, I've spent about 0mins trying to get the damned thing to work (finding the non-existent pit-lane-limiter button proved fun since I had remapped L), after which I eventually got onto the track to find the ff is terrible and the car is completely un-drivable.
Such a shame.
