Far cry help

Near the beginning the mission where you have to find Val then find a boat....once you kill all the guys on top of the carrier there is a small dinghy hanging on a winch over the side. I jump in there and it says press the use key to lower the boat, well I press the key but it only seems to move the boat upwards

Anyone done this yet...where am I going wrong ?

How the do you shooot down the the helicopter on the boat mission ? I've loaded about 8 rockets and around 60 rounds of ammo into it and it's still flying...the US should buy these

Amnyone finished this one, please help before my head goes thru another monitor

Easy, sprint (not run) to the front of the boat after setting the charges.

After the fuel tank blows, run back to the bridge for some cover.

Then just take the chopper out with the rockets. It takes 6 or 7 hits. Don't bother with normal rounds they won't do squate.

Make sure you're actually hitting the heli with the rockets and try and get them into the area where Crowe is gunning from.

You can't kill Crowe here. If you hit the helicopter enough times though, smoke will start to pour out of the back and it will fly off. Try using the alternate fire rocket grenades from the OICW.

Ta Stig, the helo took 7 rockets before it went down....on to the next level. I'm not enjoying this as much as Call of Duty for some reason, graphically it's marvellous but so are the Scottish Highlands.....maybe FPS just don't yank my chain like they used to eg Doom.

Anyone finished the get teo the top of the volcano but, must have done this 100 times without success...killed everyone there blown everyone up but cant't get past the lava.....this game is technically superb but annoying at times and this on medium...

Difficult to explain but.. keep on going up and across to the right as much as you can, then come down the hill and there is a rock the on the left that sticks out, you should be able to jump across from there.

Well finished this game with no cheats apart form help on the AC, I played on medium and died a shedload of times. It's good but not nearly as good as Mafia. mafia's more a way of life than a game and plenty motors.

I liked Mafia, Mafis rocks, but the motors are just to slow!!

With Mafia once you finish the game you unlock Mafia Extreme where you can get some seriously fast motors...the single seat race cars etc

Can anyone give me a hint on how to get past the start of level 19 (Dam) where you jump off the waterfall? I just get trashed within 30 seconds of trying to make a run for it.

I borrowed this off a mate and love the graphics, the AI of the men is superb, but the monsters are just plain annoying. They kill you too easily are a nightmare to kill and you often end up repeating bits over and over and over because of a group of monsters. Much prefer men games to this sort of thing

Amusingly I told my mate why I didn't like it and ignored me saying I was a wuss. He bought a new graphics card which I chucked in for him on Friday, fired up Farcry and he was amazed by the graphics. Nearly himself when he saw a monster for the first time. Classic!

If you can entice the Trigens into the deeper pools, they die. Do this, gradually making your way along the river and eventually you will find a large object that is very useful for getting rid of the last Trigens.

I sneaked down the stream on that level, you have to be very stealthy to manage it though and there's one bit where you have to run like f&%k with trigens and fatboys chasing you, but its a darn sight easier than going across land.

just updated my machine to play this game. WoW. fantasic quality of the water.

Love the badies and speed boat and buggy. Just at an early stage in the game, but already got eye ache !
