Well.. the Xbox I bought from ebay arrived yesterday.. plugged it all in around 8pm for just a 'quick go' of GR2. Sure enough, as the clock click 3.30 a.m., my quick go was ended.

How addictive ?!?!?

Its all about keeping your Combo high. I find the handbrake usefull to get that fast ticking noise and more points. Hit anything and you may as well start again. Getting your COMBO up to X40 useually does the trick. Just trying to get all golds as we speak. I have 13 Silver medals left. But i can't work out how to get a 2 player REPLAY

Worked from home today.. so only had a, erm, quick go on Gotham 2. It's pretty good but I find the opponent AI frustrating.. often they wait til I'm holding a nice slide and just at the perfect moment give my a gentle tap.. spinning me off into the barrier.

Doesnt stop me coming back for more though. I believe once complete, the NurBurgring is available. Anyone here got to that ?

I've finished the whole thing on at least bronze level and now i'm going to try and get all the platinums. It gets ridiculously difficult on the harder settings. On some levels, if you balls up the first corner, you might as well start again. Hyper addictive though.

:blowingmyowntrumpet: I have!!

S'not that hard to unlock Nurburgring as you only need to complete the game on a lower difficutly setting. The real challenge is unlocking the TVR Speed 12 by getting 100% Platinum medals. Now that took some doing!

struth have you managed that? I'm in the 3rd last group.. Noble GT3 etc (track specials think its called). I quite like going for Platinums in this lot as it's more fun that American Muscle etc. Also went for golds / plats with the TVR tuscan. Really dont think I can go through all those cone challenges again.. they're so dull (and a bit tricky)

Ed

wonder if there's a cheat to get the sp 12 ?

As far as I'm aware you can download the file required from places on the net, but I don't know the technical ins & outs of how to transfer it to the X-Box.

But it definately takes some doing the proper way.

I found the cone challenges the hardest, followed by a couple of the time trials. As JY said, it's all about keeping the points going, which, when you get to use the Porsche GT1, is an absolute breeze. A quick flick of the wheel & touch of handbrake, followed by a blast of throttle to get the tail out should actually have you racking up points continously round the whole lap!. But the lower classes can be a real pain though (just like life eh?! )

I downloaded a savegame .zip from the net last night as I too can't be arsed playing it all, but I think the XB needs to be networked to the PC to get it on the h/d. Unless you can do it via a mem card??

Its a tiny file if anyone wants me to mail it to them when I get home. 10k or some such.
