Playing music on PS3 whilst playing games ??

Like the title says really, can you play music from a USB stick through your PS3 whilst playing a game?

It appears you can't but just thought i'd ask in case anybody knows anything i don't.

I've always thought it's pretty cool to do that. The only game I have that can play your music is Burnout Paradise but even then I can't quite figure it out. Maybe they didn't include it because it couold take away system recourses. Bonerrrr.

Only certain games let you use custom soundtracks, but the songs have to be on the PS3 hard-drive (i.e. you can't play tracks directly from a USB stick, you'd have to copy them to the PS3 first). Burnout Paradise and Wipeout HD are the two games that jump to my mind that offer this feature. Hopefully GT5 will also offer it as the GT PSP let you do it.
