Good work Jaykaybi.

We'll need to all discuss format and times etc

20% race with quali? Or without quali?
Or even longer races to make it possible to catch up after a 1st corner shunt!
What driver aids allowed?
Realistic tyre and fuel effects? etc etc

8pm on a Tue? Wed? Weekend?

1 or two races per week?

Points etc

FWIW, my thoughts are as follows -

Wednesday evenings, either 8 or 9pm, I don't mind. Aim for two races per evening, more by consensus.

Race Settings -
Championship points scoring
Quali and Race
10% race distance
Grid according to Quali
Random car assignment
Dynamic weather
All 19 tracks in order

Sim settings -
Rules and flags reduced
Tyre wear on
Fuel load sim on
Car damage full
Car performance equal
Collisions on

Assists -
Braking banned
ABS banned
TC banned
Dynamic line allowed
Gearbox allowed
Pit limiter allowed
Pit box control allowed

Session -
Max players 12
Invite only
Min rank 1
Max rank 50

Thoughts?

Tue preferred for me. Could we have TC for those using pads ?

20% races , no quali, random grid, random car assignment ?

I'd say 10% is too short.

Maybe to save time, go with Mondeoman's idea of no quali?
(Although I quite like the tension of quali)

For pad players, we need them to have whatever help they need (within reason).
Can we allow a partial traction control, or is it either banned or not?

If we are going to do 2 races per race-evening, then I'd prefer to start at 8pm than 9pm
(I have to get up before 6 in the mornings).

As for what evening, I'll let others dictate as I am happy with Mon, Tue, Wed or Thurs.

If we're choosing cars i'll have the McLaren. Tuesdays at 8 are good for me, 20%, no quali?.

20%, no quali it is. I'm actually agreed on this now I think about it.

TC is ALLOWED or BANNED and, as I personally play on a pad with no TC or ABS and really enjoy that challenge, that would be my preference. Majority rules though....

8pm start, motion carried.

My vote is Wednesday because I'm more likely to be busy on Tuesdays and I'm definitely busy next Thursday, and Thursday November 25th.

I'd prefer medium TC, I do find it quite hard without it at the moment on the pads without it redface

When you're creating a private online game it let's you choose between TC BANNED or ALLOWED - I guess if it's left at ALLOWED, individual users can set theirs to the level they prefer...

If we're choosing cars i'll have the Sauber. Also Tuesdays at 8 are good for me but most evenings are OK. I will miss the odd week due to travel but that's life. Think of me as Vettel - should have won if wasn't for xxxx.

I'd say just one race in the evening per week, we can then practice the circuit before the race, and just one race will alow the people like me who need to get up early for work a decent sleep.

Wed night is best for me 8pm - 9pm but can do most nights at that time if need be.

TC med should be allowed for pad users (especially in the wet)

Thanks

Can't do Thursdays but otherwise I will just fit in where possible. Not bothered about cars as long as they are equal but if I had to choose then lotus or force india- you know something bottom of the grid so that I have an excuse smile

Oh and can we let mini's tyres down while he is on the grid - 400 and odd online wins is just not cricket hehe

In my original comprehensive setting suggestion, I included Car Performance : Equal so it won't matter what car you have. I kind of assume this will keep everybody happy?

Yep spotted the equal bit but that won't stop me using lotus / force india as an excuse. Other excuses such as

my chair had no grip front or back
my race engineer (the other half) shouted my dinner is ready during the race.
my visor was dirty (must clean the projector lense)
the dog is howling at me (even Jenson hasn't tried this one this season hehe)

Will all be trotted out at the appropriate moment

My catchphrase, adopted from PHer 'Arj' after he put his TVR 60 metres through a fence and almost wiped out a herd of sheep, will be..
