Question about PS3 slim

Do they all have wifi, or only the bigger ones ie 320gb or whatever it is?? Would rather get the cheap one if it has wifi.

Also, I have an original PS3 at the moment, can I transfer all my save files from one PS3 to another? If so, how easy is it??

As far as I know, every PS3 from the dawn of the PS3 had wifi.

ETA: Oh and you can transfer all your save data on a memory stick ,or if you have a 2.5" HDD Caddy/spare sata connection on your PC you can connect and back it up that way.

Thanks - thought USB would work so that's cool.

I think mines the 40gb chunky model, thought you could only get internet with a cable. If its wifi that's good though, saves me buying a new PS3!

If theres nothing wrong with the 40GB you can simply put a new drive into it, take a backup of all your saves then remove the old drive (its in the manual, you are allowed to do it) and fit a shiny new drive up to about 640GB I think is the biggest you can fit.

I think a 250GB 2.5" drive is about £30 now.

Have you never looked in the menus? It's only the 360/Wii where you have to buy extras for something basic like wifi

I've always used a wired connection so had no need to check before.

I seemed to remember someone tell me there was no wifi on the old models and I believed them.

Now our routers moved my cable doesn't reach so need to use wifi, and found that mine works fine with it
